I've been coming to this place for years and they are still the best sushi joint in Colorado. The fish is always so fresh and they make the absolute best tuna tataki- hands down the best I've ever had anywhere. I'm from Honolulu so I appreciate amazing sushi when I find it. Another thing- the specialty rolls are big and they proportion it perfectly ( ratio of rice to filling).. if you love great sushi and amazing people, this place is a must. Make sure it's the Alamada location ( not affiliated to the location on 6th)

I have been going to this sushi place for many years. Fontana is fantastic food and is always clean and quiet. One of the marks of a great sushi place is it doesn't smell fishy. Fontana Sushi doesn't smell fishy ( don't eat at sushi places that smells fishy...it's never a good idea!).

Okay you might not know this but a SAMURAI works in this restaurant and his name is Chen. Chen is a gift from the gods and he's made the best sushi I've ever had in my life. It completely shreds NOBU or ZUMI apart. We always let him OMAKASE for us and he just knows exactly what to give you. So go here and ask for Chen. If you're fortunate enough to meet Chen....just know your spirit will be healed. I love you Chen

Went to Fontana with a few friends and had the best time! Food was so good, we split a few rolls and the price was really reasonable. The service was super fast and everyone who waited on us was so kind and personable. I really had a great time and would absolutely come here again! And now for my "yellow flag" Ambiance was great but the booth we were seated at had a fish tank on our left. The fish kept picking up rocks and throwing them at the glass towards me! I was laughing but it felt personal! I'm sorry to that fish for having to watch me eat fish! Overall 9/10

Sushi so good, you don't need soy sauce! Everything was absolutely amazing, as usual, and the only thing I hate about this place is that it's ruined me for any other sushi place. I'm never leaving Colorado while this Fontana is in business. It's (as Tina Turner says) SIMPLY THE BEST!

I wanted to check out this neighborhood spot after a few recommendations from friends. For the price point and quality of fish, I think Fontana is a great choice for weeknight sushi. However, if you're looking for a more upscale date night, there are other sushi restaurants in town that can provide a more sophisticated ambiance. To start, we ordered the gyoza. These were great-- the wrapper was just the right thickness and the meat filling was juicy. The crisp on the outside of the dumpling made for an excellent hot appetizer. For our entree, we ordered the sushi deluxe and the eel sashimi. All of the fish was fresh and the eel was perfectly barbecued. The service was good and food was timed appropriately. Check out Fontana the next time you're looking for sushi but want to keep it casual!
